Before canceling or taking over products
The telephone number of the deceased person often holds significant personal memories. You might wish to keep these memories before making any decisions regarding the cancellation or transfer of the number or subscription.
- You have the option to receive the personal voicemail greeting of the deceased.
To do so, please contact us either by phone or via our contact form before proceeding with the cancellation.
Ensure you have the mobile number of the deceased at the hand. The voicemail greeting will be sent to you as an audio file via email, typically within 7 business days.
- You can choose to take over the mobile number of the deceased or keep dit temporarily.
This allows you to manage incoming calls and texts and preserve any messages stored on the device.
- Did the deceased use their mobile phone to log in to certain websites?
Don't forget to adapt their mobile number and/or e-mail for so that their personal data remain private.
- Do you want to (partially) keep the Scarlet subscriptions?
it's recommended to transfer them to your name instead of leaving them under the deceased's name. This makes you able to manage the subscriptions independently, ensuring smooth billing processes.
