The LEDs of your b-box 3V+
There are several visible light indicators on your b-box 3V+.
Here's what they mean:
Power
- If it's lit, it means your B-box is turned on.
- Should the LED be on? Check if the power cable is correctly connected and if the Power button at the back of the B-box is on position On.
DSL
- If the DSL indicator is lit and stable, it means your B-box is synchronized with the signal of your line.
- If it's blinking, it means synchronization is in progress. This happens if it's the first time a Scarlet line is connected at your place.
If your line isn't new, check the cable connection between the wall socket and the DSL port at the back of the b-box. - If the DSL indicator is red, restart your b-box and contact us if the issue persists.
It's also possible that the light is off if your B-box is connected to a fiber modem.
WAN
- If the WAN indicator is lit, your B-box is correctly connected to a fiber modem.
- If it's off, your b-box isn't connected to a fiber modem.
- If it's red, restart your B-box and contact us if the problem persists.
Internet
- If the light indicator is lit, it means there's an internet connection.
- If it's off, there's no active internet connection. If that's the case, disconnect the power cable from the b-box, then reconnect it and wait for about twenty minutes.
- Is the indicator red? Restart your b-box.
LAN
- If the LAN indicator is lit, a device is connected to one of the Ethernet ports at the back of your B-box.
- If it's off, it means no device is connected.
If the LAN and Wi-Fi LEDs are red, what should you do?
This probably indicates an IP address conflict. Follow the steps below to resolve this issue:
- Restart your B-box.
- If the indicator lights are still red, go to the modem interface via the address 192.168.1.1.
- Log in to the modem. Select 'User' as the username and enter the User password. This is indicated below or at the back of the modem.
- In the list of connected devices, check if two of them have the same IP address.
- If that's the case, click on the small cross next to the device's name. This will disconnect the device, and upon reconnection, your device should receive a new IP address. If the problem persists, contact us.
PHONE
- If the indicator is lit and stable, it indicates that an analog phone is connected to the B-box.
- When the indicator blinks, it means a phone call is in progress.
DECT
- If the indicator is lit and stable, it indicates that a DECT phone (Digital Enhanced Cordless Telecommunications) is connected to the B-box.
- If it blinks, a phone call is in progress.
DECT & WPS
- This indicator blinks to indicate that an attempt to connect via Wi-Fi with another device is in progress.
Wi-Fi
- If it's lit and stable, it means Wi-Fi is enabled and can be used.
- If it blinks, Wi-Fi is currently in use.
- If the indicator is off, Wi-Fi is disabled. To enable it, press the on/off button next to the light indicator for 3 seconds.
