To change the language of your channels (from Dutch to French and the other way around), you must change the language of your basic TV package. You can do this directly from your customer zone:

• Log in to MyScarlet.
• Click on the Home tab and scroll down to your fixed product.
• In the Digital TVsection, click on the TV Options button.

• Open the Basic Package menu, and select the basic TV package in the desired language.
• Click Next.

All you have to do is follow the steps. You will receive a confirmation of your order.

Would you like to display the menus in Dutch or French? English and German are unfortunately not available.

• Press the Menu button and select (depending on the current language):
  • Mon compte > paramètres > réglage du système > langue du menu
  • Mijn account > instellingen > systeeminstellingen > taal
• Select the desired language (Dutch or French) and press OK.
• Navigate to the right and select valider or bevestigen (depending on the language). The changes are immediate.

In most cases, this problem is solved by restoring the decoder's factory settingsOpens a new window .

When the decoder restarts, the sound and image should be synchronized again.

The image stretches in height?

This TV channel broadcasts in 16:9 and your screen is in 4:3.

With horizontal black bands, your 4:3 screen looks like a 16:9 screen and the image is not distorted.

The image stretches in width?

This TV channel broadcasts in 4:3 and your screen is in 16:9.

With vertical black bands, your 16:9 screen looks like a 4:3 screen and the image is not distorted.

To change the aspect ratio, do the following:

• Press the Menu key and select My Account > settings > image settings > aspect ratio.
• Select the desired image size (16:9 or 4:3).
• Select Confirm.
