Fixed telephone line

There are two types of landline:

  • Traditional landline
  • Internet landline

The wiring differs depending on which one you have. To determine which type of landline you have, simply check your bill. If the mention Voice over IP Telephony is present next to your phone number, then you have an internet landline. If not, then you have a traditional landline.

Plug the cable from your landline phone directly into the filter connected to your phone socket as shown in the illustration below.
Your filter may look different from the one in the illustration.

  1. Plug the cable from your landline phone into the port labeled Phone1 at the back of your b-box.
  2. If the cable is too large to fit into the Phone1 port, do not force it. Instead, plug it into one of the yellow Ethernet ports also located at the back of your b-box.

If no cable was provided with your landline phone, refer to the instructions of your phone on how to connect it to your b-box.

Did you manage to check the cabling?
